Featured Fall Team: MS Boys Soccer

We want to take a moment to provide AHS with an update on your middle school boys soccer journey and the exciting progress they’ve made. Our dedicated coaching staff of Kofi Johnson, Brad Herzog, Stephen Blake and MacKay Biesinger and your children’s hard work have contributed to some remarkable developments and two wins over the past week.
Skill Development
We are thrilled to witness the continuous improvement in our teams soccer skills. From dribbling and passing to shooting and defensive strategies, they have shown great dedication during our training sessions. Their commitment to honing their abilities is truly commendable.
Teamwork and Sportsmanship
Soccer is not only about individual skills, but also about working as a team. Our boys have been actively participating in team drills and scrimmages, fostering a sense of unity and cooperation on the field. We have also been emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, and we’re pleased to see our boys treating their teammates, opponents, and referees with respect.
Fitness and Conditioning
Maintaining physical fitness is crucial for optimal performance on the soccer field. Our training regimen includes various conditioning drill exercises to enhance endurance, speed, and agility. Your sons’ progress in their fitness levels has been noteworthy, and we encourage them to continue their efforts to stay in top shape when they are not with their team.
Upcoming Home and Away Matches
We are excited to announce that our team will be participating in seven upcoming matches. These opportunities will allow your sons to put their skills to the test and gain valuable experience against different opponents. If we win most of our games we will compete in the play-offs.
Parental Support
We sincerely appreciate our parents for the support they have shown. Their involvement, cheers, encouragement, and presence during matches are vital for creating a positive and motivating environment for the players.
Let’s continue to work together to nurture our teams Faith and Testimony in and of Jesus Christ, love for soccer and help them grow as both students and athletes. We are excited to see their continued progress and the positive impact they will make on and off the field.
Thank you for entrusting us with your children’s soccer development.

Featured Fall Team: Varsity Baseball

The baseball team is doing great, we had a great summer of practice and hit the ground running. We started with a tournament in Orderville, Utah and took second
place. We have many amazing returning young men, and a few new freshmen. The team is undefeated in our region play and we play again tomorrow morning against Intermountain Christian. We have started a JV team that will play every Wednesday against Maeser Prep.
Coach Jansen is great and has this team ready.

—Coach McGee

Current record: 7-0 (1st place, 2A Fall Region), 10-3 (Overall)

Patriots have knocked in 162 runs so far this season while only giving up 62 runs across 13 games.

Spotlight: Junior Jayce Christofferson leads the potent offense with a .536 batting average, 22 stolen bases, 23 runs scored, and 23 RBIs. He was featured in the Deseret News Larry H. Miller Week 1 high school star athletes of the week.

Featured Fall Team: MS Boys Tennis

We have a really good group of boys who all love the sport of tennis.  We have our first match tomorrow, which will just be an intra-squad scrimmage, so it’ll be fun and exciting to see the boys compete against each other, and learn how to be good teammates and support each other.
