Karen has been so impressed with the mission and values of American Heritage School and is so excited to be part of such an amazing team! Karen previously taught 5th grade at Spring Creek Elementary in the Provo School District. While there she mentored several cohort and student teachers. Karen received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University. She also received her ESL Endorsement (teaching English as a second language) from Brigham Young University and Southern Utah University. She has been working with and educating children in various capacities for the last 15 years and is excited to be back in a formal classroom setting. Karen served a Portuguese speaking mission in Sao Paulo Brazil. She loves music, playing the piano, singing, reading, learning languages and spending time with her husband and children.
