Mrs. Sloan grew up in Northern California. She is currently working on obtaining a master’s degree in education and believes all children are a gift from our Heavenly Father—each having special gifts and talents to develop here on earth. She loves teaching 1st grade working with the students as they discover their abilities. She joined AHS in 2020 as a substitute teacher, then became a 3rd grade teacher aide. She and her husband have two daughters, two son-in-laws and 8 grandchildren, three of which have attended AHS for the past 9 years. Before coming to AHS Mrs. Sloan was a Senior Corporate Event Manager. She has planned events for up to 30,000 people. Her last event position was with a foundation where she planned humanitarian events in Nepal, Cambodia, Ecuador, and Uganda. She loved the opportunity to be of service to the people in those countries and holds a special place in her heart for them. During Covid she felt prompted with thoughts and impressions lead her to value the mission of AHS. She feels that the children of today should be taught about our liberties, our constitution, and the responsibility that we must utilize them in the way they were meant to be used.
