Hobbies — I am passionate about health! I love to read books and listen to pod casts on health and nutrition. I enjoy gardening, hiking, spending time in nature, and listening to inspiring music.
Favorite Vacations — I love to tell people about some of my greatest memories with my family that include hiking in the red cliffs of Zions National Park and playing in the sand dunes of St. George. I have many fond memories of skiing with my boys down the mountain slopes and rafting the high rapids of the Snake River.
An Experience That Prepared Me to Teach at AHS — The greatest life experience that has best prepared me to teach at AHS has been the blessing of being a home-school mother. The lessons I learned and experience I gained from teaching my own children and tutoring other children in my home cannot be measured. I will always look back on those years with great love and appreciation.
Education — Bachelor of Science, Early Childhood/Elementary Education, Weber State University; Social Science, Special Education minor.
Why AHS? — If I were to hand-craft the very best curriculum, gather the greatest minds and teaching abilities, and invite the spirit to create the best school possible, it would be AHS. AHS is unique for me because it fits into everything I would hope a school should be. I feel welcome and very much a part of the culture of this school.
Favorite Student Interaction — I love the daily hugs and little notes of love and appreciation given from the children.
Why the teaching profession? — From my earliest memories as a child, I was a teacher. I had a younger sister and would always make her be my student while I taught her primary lessons, acted as the music conductor, or taught her how to spell, read, and write. I would gather all of the children in our neighborhood and pretend I was their teacher. I would get boxes for desks, and create a little classroom during our playtime. I have always wanted to be a teacher and have never seem myself doing anything else. I love to teach!
“I hope to leave a legacy of love. My greatest hope is that the children who I have the privilege of teaching and working with each day know that I love them with all of my heart and have a firm testimony of our loving Father in Heaven and Savior, Jesus Christ.”

Family
I have three wonderful children and have loved every minute of being a mother! Our family greatly enjoys outdoor activities that include camping, hiking, biking, skiing/snowboarding, swimming, and boating.
All three of my boys are black belt in karate. They have their own dojo and enjoy working with children in teaching martial arts.
All three of my boys are very athletic and love to run in the Spartan races. We spend our vacations traveling around to all of the races and cheer them on in their quest to complete the intense obstacle courses and uphill racing. For my birthday this past year, my boys gave me a pass for a free Spartan race. Now they are helping me train and prepare to be a Spartan runner. Whew!!!
