Why do you love teaching at AHS? — Making Christ the focal point of history and bringing Him into all of our teaching is the best part of being at AHS. At AHS students learn with a lens of truth. We talk of Christ and testify of Christ. As we do, they are able to feel the Spirit. The Spirit is the most powerful teacher of truth. I love that I get to be a part of students’ experience in learning with and through the Spirit.

Curriculum Highlight
The 3rd grade curriculum is amazing. All of the subjects connect and dovetail into each other. The history weaves into the literature, and the literature creates interest in the geography. Then studying the geography helps the students understand the history better. In addition, we focus on the principle of Christian character. We teach how the compilation of our choices creates our character. It is the perfect focus for eight/nine year old children. In history and literature the students see the consequences of individuals’ choices and type of character they developed. What an inspired focus!
