Curriculum Highlight — I love to teach Geography . I love to share with students my love for this world and other cultures. In fourth grade, we get the opportunity to teach students about such places as: the United Kingdom, India, North and South America, and most importantly, Utah. We live in such a unique and exquisite state, and I love having the chance to showcase its beauty.
Why Teaching? — I served a Latter-day Saint mission in Chile. I gained such a joy in teaching people everyday. I decided afterwards that I wanted to have a profession where I could continue to help others.
Your Role — As a core teacher, I get the blessing to get to teach so many delightful subjects. This allows me to help stretch the students’ learning in so many different facets of life.
Family — I’m a proud parent of five amazing kids who bring endless joy and meaning to my life.
Education — Bachelor of Arts, Elementary Education, Utah Valley University
What Makes AHS unique? — For me, AHS is unique, because its a school where you are actually encouraged teach with the Spirit. Here, students are able to grow both academically and spiritually.
Why do you love teaching at AHS? — There is not enough space to list all of the reasons why I love to teach at AHS. I love teaching at a school where I get the chance to feel the power of the Spirit each and every day. I love working at a school where the children are eager to learn and grow, not only academically, but also grow closer to their Savior. I love teaching at a school that teaches true history – His Story. The administration here is nothing but supportive in developing the best out of teachers. The other staff are exemplary leaders and examples.
“I hope to leave a legacy where my students know that they are loved and have taken a step closer to their eternal destination.”

Hobbies
I have a great love for all things comic-related. I am especially a huge fan of Spider-man.
Some of our favorite family trips take place right here in Utah, which might explain why I was meant to be a 4th grade teacher. My favorite spot in Utah is Bear Lake.
When I have free time, I love to play tennis, hike, read, draw, watch movies, and spend time with my family. I am actually a little bit of a movie-fanatic. I love learning movie facts, and love to quote what I learn.
