An Experience That Prepared Me
to Teach at AHS
“I remember sitting in Bro. Marshall’s American Civics class at BYU-Idaho shortly after I had decided to go into teaching. He bore such a powerful witness of the greatness of our nation and the Founding Fathers that I determined that I wanted to be a teacher like that. I feel that the seeds for love of country, history, and truth were planted before this life, were nurtured in childhood, and finally began sprouting in my young adult years. This experience and others at college began an insatiable appetite to learn all things traditional America. I want to light or keep lighting that same spark in others that touched me so powerfully that day.”
