Kortnie Manwill joins American Heritage with 10 years of teaching experience in a private school setting. She has had the opportunity to teach many different grade levels in lower elementary, which has led her to become a versatile teacher. She enjoys helping her students meet their full academic potential by setting high expectations, keeping a fast-paced and exciting classroom, and personalizing with each student. She believes her students are a huge part of the teaching process and encourages them to participate and share real-world experiences and stories. She is excited to teach in a learning environment filled with the spirit and strives to make her classroom a place of safety, encouragement, laughter, challenge, and joy. Kortnie enjoys designing floral arrangements, reading, interior design and decorating, and spending time with her husband and dog. She most recently has enjoyed learning the skill of crocheting baby blankets and is looking forward to donating them to local hospitals to be given to bereaved mothers. She aspires to write a book one day.
